A great play a great stage well done to all

Year 8 will be studying Polynesian Art and its influence on design and crafts from that region of the world. Have a look on the internet and in books. Remember the large portrait of Gauguin we completed last term. 

Some research for Year 9 to consider as preparation for the project you are going to do in the Art Department this term. Please have a look at the Cape Farewell Project http://www.capefarewell.com/art.html Once you have looked at the art and exhibition pages study the home page and find out what the project is all about it is going to be the inspiration for the work you do this term.

Year 11 will also be working on a still-life drawing project and if unable to come to school because of weather, can research the artists below and similar. Please also start some observational drawing of your own. Set up some objects on a table and using any mark making implements you can find around the house. Be imaginative
